Recording Secretary

Rochelle Menard is the Administrative Lieutenant with the Village of Depew Police Department in Depew, NY. Lieutenant Menard has been a member of the Depew Police Department since she was appointed in 2011. She was the first female Police Officer appointed by the department and the first female to be promoted to Lieutenant in 2021.

Before her promotions, Lieutenant Menard was assigned to patrol and earned several certifications, including Field Training Officer, Crisis Intervention Team member, and General Topics Instructor. Lieutenant Menard has received numerous commendations and awards, including local Assemblymember Monica Wallace’s Women of Distinction Award in 2023. Lieutenant Menard has been a member of NYWLE since 2022 and was a scholarship winner to attend the IACP’s Women’s Leadership Institute in 2023.

Lieutenant Menard handles administrative duties in the department, including but not limited to Training, Wellness Program Coordinator, Community Relations Coordinator, and Social Media. In addition to her many assignments, Lieutenant Menard serves as a department peer and volunteers as a law enforcement peer with the Western New York Law Enforcement Helpline.

Lieutenant Menard serves on the NYWLE Board of Directors as the Recording Secretary and the Western Region Director. When Lieutenant Menard is not on duty, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and miniature dachshund and can be found at her local CrossFit gym.
